裝飾線描的作品，美就美在——點、線、面的組合和排列營造出來的視覺效果，與寫實不同，裝飾線描往往帶有強烈的主觀色彩，而非寫實所追求的那層求實的境界，裝飾美——多數為了表達畫家對世界的美好看法。為了創造強烈的視覺感受，畫家把它們線性化了，用結構的狀態來體現描摹對象的內涵。

禪繞畫的作品，和上者的形式性質一樣——都是點線面的排列組合游戲，都是強烈的裝飾美感，但是，禪繞畫可以不追求任何結果，它在意的是，人在創作時的反應。你必須平心靜氣的完成一幅禪繞畫，否則，將可能無法成為一幅畫，但這又有什麼關系呢？哪怕只畫三兩個圈圈，只要你平復情緒的目的達到了，也算是一次禪繞之旅了。
看到這里，有人會想，這不是太糊弄了嘛，敢情沒畫完的裝飾畫就是禪繞畫啊！別著急，接下來，聽我們娓娓道來禪繞畫的真諦。 禪繞畫的完成形式，目前來說，你能看到兩種不同的呈現：一種——特有規律，特美好圓滿的樣子，我們把這種形式叫做「禪陀羅」，你可以簡單理解成：像陀螺一樣一圈一圈，保持著強烈連續重復圖案的節奏。
還有一種，無規無則，隨心所欲，有時看起來還像個什麼，有時又什麼也不像，白老師把這種非禪陀羅的形式，又分成兩種：具象禪繞畫和抽象禪繞畫。所謂具象禪繞畫，也就是，能看出表現了什麼，從外形猜唄；而抽象的禪繞畫則恰恰相反。 不論是哪一種禪繞畫，它追求的遠遠不是一幅裝飾線描可以比擬的快樂——雖然學會畫一幅裝飾線描之後那種成就感也是非凡的，但是，禪繞畫更關注的是畫者的內心「是否有了某種變化」，也就是說，相對於作品本身來說，我們更關心你！
比如說禪陀羅的快樂——那種反復、精緻的重復所帶來的美好，從指尖流淌出來的纏繞美麗，那得是一種什麼心情？這期間人的大腦得經歷什麼樣嚴密的思索？發生了什麼？Who
knows? 而禪繞反復告訴你的「不要緊，不要在意畫的像什麼」所帶來的毫無壓力感，更是強調了在無任務驅動之下的人體放鬆，特別是人腦。 當然，你也可以說，禪繞畫就是裝飾線描，但是裝飾線描畫不見得就是禪繞畫，這是兩種概念。 所以，禪繞畫適合所有人來畫，就是這個原因，它不像裝飾線描，最好有個速寫基礎什麼的，才能把對象表現的更有美感。 在禪繞認證教師的指導之下，任何人都會有一個好的開始，並且感到自己「畫的還不錯」。你不覺得這樣的一件事情很神奇嗎？至少我們覺得，讓每個人都擁有某種自信，這應該是一件功德無量的事情。
